Davis Riley & Nick Hardy Win Zurich Classic
Zurich has been putting on a great tournament in New Orleans since 2005. The team event brings something different to the PGA Tour. Unlike other events, it takes two players working together to get a victory here.
Davis Riley and Nick Hardy were able to get it done today with a final round 65. The alternate shot format is tough because you have to rely on eachother the entire day, but these two were able to make some miraculous shots coming down the stretch. The duo birdied 4 out of the final 6 holes, leading to a two shot victory -- earning both players their first PGA Tour victory.
As you can see, the Canadian team Hadwin and Taylor put up a stellar round 4 tying the tournament record with a final round 63 in alternate shot. Which tied the previous record set by Cantlay and Schauffele on Friday. However, it wasn't enough to get the victory at the Zurich Classic this year!
First Time PGA Tour Winners at Zurich Classic
Under Bogey Golf would like to congratulate @NickHardy8 and @DavisRiley68 on your first PGA Tour Win. We look forward to watching you the remainder of the season and we will see you back here next year to defend your title. Hopefully these guys can follow in the footsteps of guys like Cameron Smith and John Rahm. They won here in 2019 and 2021.......now they are household names in the sport.
