Lookout Mountain Golf Club 

Under Bogey Lookout Moutain Golf Club Review

This is the most scenic golf course in Phoenix, AZ and a good option if you are vaccationing in the metro area. This course was about 30 minutes from Scottsdale. 

The course was a little confusing to navigate to because the gps took us to the course rather than the club house that is located at the resort enterance. Once we got that figured out we dropped our bags and checked in at the pro shop. Everyone up front was helpful and friendly, so no issues there. 

We got down by the practice area and the starter pointed us to the driving range. The driving range was pretty nice, but they did have us hitting off mats. The putting green was nice and big, but there was no short game area. 

Anyways, pertaining to the course itself. The first 6 holes are a little mehh and it feels quite resorty. Not to say the holes are bad or anything, but it's nothing to write home about yet. That all changes on hole 7. 

Hole 7 thru hole 15 is one of the most fun stretches of holes I've played. All of these holes are either down hill or flat as you drive throughout the mountainous terrian. Then the view at the top of 10 is one of the best views you will get on any golf course in Arizona. After taking in the view you get to bomb a driver from the highest point in Phoenix way, wayyy downhil to a mid length par 4.

Overall, this is a really fun golf course and perfect if you want to get some pictures. The only negative about this course is it gets a little bit slow on the back 9 and I assume that because everyone has the cameras out. I didn't mind because I wasn't in a hurry and we still played pretty close to 4.5 hour pace, but just something to keep in mind when planning your day here.
