First and foremost lets get this out of the way. Padre is not a bad course. In fact, it's a very nice course. It just catches a lot of flak because it feels like a course in FL opposed to AZ and is overpriced for what it is. If budget isn't an issue an this course is availbe to play -- go for it. 

Ambiente on the other hand is a fantastic layout and well worth the price. I would put this course right up there with the best of them in Scottsdale. The course is always in great shape and the greens roll great.
